Nuclear Races

Nuclear Races have a history of producing excellent events in fun and muddy terrain and this year they're looking to scale things up massively. At their two main events Nuclear Rush and Nuclear Fallout they will be introducing obstacles that have never been seen before on UK shores, including a HUGE waterslide, a zip wire over water and 100 meter monkey bars!

RockSolid Race

RockSolid Race won the "Best Newcomer" award in our new year's honours, following their explosive launch last year. They really are a class act through and through. Their courses are rammed with tonnes of quality obstacle with excellent build quality and they also take a lot of pride in their event village, so there's a great social atmosphere before and after your run. X-Runner

X-runner MudLocation: Derbyshire
Distance options: 5km and 10km

With organisers that have been kicking around for as long as X-Runner, you can expect a certain level of quality, which is apparent at all of their events. However, what really makes them stand out is their fun factor. With well honed obstacle courses, you can expect wet and wild thrills and spills, and a hell of a lot of laughs!

Rat Race Dirty Weekend

Obstacle races don't come any bigger than Rat Race Dirty Weekend. They proudly lay claim to being "The Largest Assault Course on Earth" with a 20 mile run, filled with 200 challenges! There are 20 themed zone, so one minute you'll be ducking under inflatables in their "Water Wipeout Zone" and the next you'll be climbing through the tree tops in their "Ewok Village".

Monster Race

Monster Race only launched last year but have already caused a real stir with their fun and fresh take on obstacle racing. Already they have amassed a collection of fine obstacles, which they look to expand on this year. With affordable prices they prove that you don't have to pay for quality.

Dirty Dozen Races

Dirty Dozen are fast becoming one of the biggest names in UK obstacle racing. They are hell-bent on producing the biggest and best events available. As well as being great for fun runners, they're also at the forefront of competitive obstacle course racing and you can expect to see the UK's finest racers lined up in the first wave.

The Nuts Challenge

The Nuts Challenge really is one of Mudstacle's favourite ever races. It's the most densely packed obstacle races that we're aware of and it blends natural terrain and man made obstacles beautifully. The shorter options are perfect for fun runners and the longer options are up there with the toughest events in the UK. Get involved - you won't regret it!

No Ego Challenge

No Ego climbLocation: Lancashire

Over the last couple of years No Ego have offer a whole selection of races, from mud runs, to torch light races to obstacle races. This years obstacle races are set to take them to the next level as they plan to cram in some gruelling military inspired challenges, which will need competitors to work as a team to get through. Expect a wet, muddy and exhausting time!

Survival of the Fittest

Survival of the Fittest takes obstacle racing to the streets with their enormously popular series of city centre events. As you'd expect, their courses have an urban feel, with plenty of scaffolding to climb over and through, as well as burnt out cars and inflatables. Don't expect a clean ride though, they'll make sure you'll cross the line soaking wet and muddy!

Back 2 the Trenches

Surrey is a hotbed of quality obstacle races and mud runs and Back 2 the Trenches' military themed events are up there with the best of them. They combine tonnes of obstacles with some really challenging hilly terrain, so no matter which distance option you choose, you're bound to give yourself a good work out! Book up early enough and and you'll get a real bargain on your entry price.
