The Super September weekend is out of the way and, wow, what a weekend of OCR!
The league tables have been updated following Nuts Challenge and Spartan Super Peterborough, view the tables here and read the news below. NB: The results from Man Vs Mountain will be added early next week.
The league headline this morning is that Tristan Steed from Team Muddy Kit (pictured above spectacularly diving over the fire at the end of Sunday's Spartan Race) has jumped up to first place in the league. He won the Spartan Super on Sunday and that result combined with his previous win at Dirty Dozen East last month and 2nd place at Spartan Super South West back in May gives him a massive 400 points, moving 11 points clear of Jason Burgess.
James Burton from Team Pro-Fit battled hard to win the brutal 4 laps of Nuts Challenge which jumps him up to third place overall and 2nd in the Mens U40s table and Jason Brunnock from Mudstacle Machines won the 2 lap race at Nuts Challenge which moves him above his teammates Lee Jackson and Dave Rogers to settle in behind James Burton in 4th overall.
In the Team League Table, Team Pro Fit in second place extended their lead over Team Mudstacle to quite a big margin but, unfortunately for them, the Mudstacle Machines also increased their scoring points total and right now they do look pretty unreachable at the top. The battle between 4th, 5th and 6th continues to be exciting with Kitbrix, JD and RPCC constantly leapfrogging each other, this week it's Kitbrix in the lead of those three after high scores from Clive Gigney, Mark Rogers and Rich Enderby at Nuts Challenge.
In the Ladies U40s table, Team Kitbrix's ladies Zoe Pereira and Faye Showell have jumped into third and fourth after high scores at Nuts Challenge and Spartan Peterborough respectively, but no change in the top two as Freya Martin and Jo Shelmerdine hold on to their positions. Heather Ratcliffe also increased her score but is now in fifth.
The only change at the top of the Men's Masters table is that Peter Gilbert and Andrew Appleton increased their scoring totals, but the top 4 are sat strongly in their positions.
Last but definitely not least, in the Ladies' Masters table, Kerry Gowen and Carrie Webb scored highly at Nuts Challenge to bring them into second and third place, but the unstoppable Toni Cupit won the 4 lap race at Nuts and so increased her score at the top of the table.
