Yes, they are usually pointless for most users. Nearly all people will see no benefit from going with an NVMe over a SATA SSD. But, what I am wondering is about a specific NVMe SSD. The ADATA XPG SX6000, in particular. It costs slightly less than one of the better budget SSDs in the 120GB area (the SK Hynix SL308 – 52.98) which seems like it might be a good option for an SSD regardless of NVMe or SATA. What are your thoughts on it? Does it present a good enough value at that price point to be a worthwhile consideration?
